Students' Harp Recital at Chartwell Waterford Long Term Care (June 12, 2022) 2-3 pm

Harp students from Dr Suen-Campbell’s harp studio will be performing a recital for the residence at Chartwell Waterford long term care residence in Oakville, Ontario. Students featured: Daniel Campbell, Christopher Campbell, Cathy Chan, Angel Gao, Eva Gao, Bernice Li, Katie Li, Emily Man, Zoya Melnykova and Maya Rispoli (in alphabetical order). They will be performing works by B. Andres, C.P.E. Bach, Elizabeth Volpe-Bligh, Benjamin Britten, Kirchhoff/M. Grandjany,  Hasselmans, Samuel Milligan, Carlos Salzedo and Valery Tihonova. Recent Teaching Appointment at Lakehead University

I am very thrilled to let you know that I have recently been appointed as Harp Faculty at Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ontario. According to the  2020 Maclean’s University Rankings,  Lakehead is ranked No. 2 amongst Ontario’s primarily undergraduate universities . Dr Suen-Campbell's students have recently won top prizes from music festivals and competition in 2021:  Emily Man: 1st place, Grade 2, Toronto Kiwanis Music Festival Christopher Campbell: 2nd place, Grade 2, Toronto Kiwanis Music Festival  Katie Li: 1st place, Grade 4, Ontario Harp Society Scholarship Audition Bernice Li: 1st place, Grade 6, Ontario Harp Society Scholarship Audition                    1st place, Grade 6, Toronto Kiwanis Music Festival Angel Gao: 1st place, Grade 8, Toronto Kiwanis Music Festival Eva Gao: 2nd place, Grade 8, Toronto Kiwanis Music Festival Chloe Yip: 1st place, ARCT, Pickering GTA Music Festival Congratulations to all the students and parents who participated in the events. Student Christmas Harp Recital on Zoom

The harp studio of Dr. Teresa Suen-Campbell will be performing a Christmas recital over Zoom platform on December 6 (SUN) at 3:30 pm. The concert will feature students Doreen Bryer, Daniel Campbell, Christopher Campbell, Chrissie Chan, Angel Gao, Eva Gao, Bernice Li, Katie Li, Emily Man, Teresa White and Chloe Yip.  They will be performing works by Handel, Clementi, Dussek, Schubert, Hasselmans, Renie, Bernard  Andrès,  McDonald, Weinzweig and Britten.

Harp Demonstration at Logos Baptist Church Mississauga

My journal article, "The Joy and Challenges of Commissioning a New Harp Concerto," is being published in the American Harp Journal this summer. Updates from Summer Part 2: Harp Demonstration at Ottawa Public Library (August 2015)

I continued to enjoy the rest of my summer by reaching out to the younger generation in Ottawa, Canada's capital city. It was a lot of fun to see how the kids were fascinated by this wonderful instrument. They were very co-operative :-)   Both demonstrations were well-attended. Former Student Hebe Kan won 2nd prize at Japan International Harp Competition 2014

Happy New Year!  For the new year I would like to share a piece of good news with you all:-- Congratulations to my former harp student, Hebe Kan Yuet, for placing 2nd in the junior division of the 26th Nippon Harp Competition held in Soka, Japan in November 2014. Keep up the good work Hebe!

Lecture and Master class in Markham, Ontario
